A Medina man accused of felony sexual abuse of two children may have his case tried in state Supreme Court, officials said Monday.
Ritchard P. Baldwin was arraigned Nov. 3 in Lockport City Court before Judge William Watson on charges of first-degree felony sexual abuse of a boy and girl under age 11.
Lockport Police Detective Travis Mapes said Baldwin would be sent to Niagara County Court for a pretrial hearing.
Baldwin, 19, of Marilla Place, Medina, is being held without bail in the Niagara County Jail.
Baldwin was convicted of sexual abuse in August 2008. While on probation, Baldwin reportedly told authorities about incidents that occurred in Lockport over a period of several years, Mapes said. Baldwin’s alleged admission led to the new charges.
Assistant District Attorney Elizabeth R. Donatello will prosecute the case, officials said.
