Downtown trick-or-treating will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. today.
It’s a first-time event by businesses and coincides with the city’s annual Halloween party for youths, being held from 5 to 8:30 p.m. at in the City Hall parking lot.
Children are invited to start their treat hunt at City Hall, where they’ll receive a free trick-or-treat bag (already partly filled with toys and candy) and can play games in a tent, get balloons and have pizza and cider. Party-goers will receive an exclusive $2 discount coupon on admission to the Haunted Palace.
A “Famous Kiss Concert” by the Livingston Place-based tribute band will be held at 7 p.m. For more information, call the youth bureau, 434-3071.
