DEPEW — A Medina woman who was reported missing Friday was located following her arrest by the Village of Depew Police Department.
Officers charged Karen L. Sanders with a DWI in Erie County Thursday, where after, she was committed to the Erie County Holding Center following her arraignment in the Depew Village Court.
After the 38-year-old mother failed to inform her family of her whereabouts, concerned family members contacted the media and filed a missing person’s report with the Orleans County Sheriffs Department. Family members were said the last time they saw her, Sanders was in Lockport, driving a white Dodge mini-van. Those closest to her were concerned for her health; Sanders allegedly lost her job Thursday morning and was “depressed.”
Sanders remains in custody at the holding center. Officers at Depew were not able to release any further information at press time.
