City of Lockport Police detectives has arrested a Niagara Falls man in connection with a bank robbery in downtown Lockport on March 8.
LPD — with the assistance of Niagara Falls Police Department — arrested Joseph S. Trusello of 431 Memorial Pkwy, Niagara Falls at his residence, according to a press release from Lockport police.
Detectives had recieved numerous tips since the assailant's photos were shown in the media on Friday afternoon. Those tips resulted in a quick resolution to the case, police say.
Trusello was charged with third-degree robbery and third-degree grand larceny. He was set to be arraigned today in Lockport City Court before Judge William Watson, but as of 3 p.m. had not yet been arraigned because he was still being questioned.
