Dale Association names Wendt president, CEO

Lockport Union-Sun & Journal — The Dale Association Board of Trustees announced Maureen A. Wendt has been named as the new president and CEO for the agency. 

Wendt was named as the interim president and CEO back on April 16. She has served as director of marketing and development for more than 11 years and as a volunteer board member for five years prior.

The Dale Association said in a release, “Maureen Wendt is a leader who believes that collaboration is the key in making things happen. She values the many contributions of the directors and staff members at the Dale Association, who share her commitment to serving the people in our community. Peers appreciate her professionalism, honesty and fairness and her comprehensive working knowledge of all Dale Association program areas.”

Prior to working at the Dale Association, Wendt worked at First Niagara Bank for 17 years, lastly as vice president and team leader in retail. Wendt attended the University at Buffalo and graduated from American Institute of Banking with degrees in operations and management leadership.

Wendt is a graduate of Leadership of Niagara and is a current member of the Leadership Niagara board. Recently, she was named as their 2012 Distinguished Alumna and currently serves as vice chairperson of the board. Wendt is also a member of Zonta Club of Lockport, serving in the past as first vice president, second vice president, secretary and board member. Maureen is an avid gardener and an annual destination on the “Lockport in Bloom” Garden Walk.

“The board of the Dale is very pleased to have Maureen as our president/CEO. She has shown good leadership abilities during the interim and we wish her well in her new position.” Angela Hahn, board chairperson said.
