Lockport Union-Sun & Journal — A Newfane woman whose home was heavily damaged by a fire in October that has been ruled arson has announced an incentive to help find the responsible person.
Barbara Johnson is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the Oct. 22 fire that caused more than $70,000 damage to her home at 3020 Lockport-Olcott Road.
Johnson and a second person were asleep at the time the fire was discovered. The home is undergoing repairs but Johnson told the US&J that she still cannot get back inside the home.
