Staff Reports

TOWN OF LOCKPORT — Three people were arrested at 1 a.m. Sunday at a party involving about 20 people at 6491 Dysinger Road.

Arrested were Rory M. Tobias, 27, 4 Main St., Purdys; Milton E. Sands, 20, 3111 Saunders Settlement Road, Sanborn; and James D. Bardanis, 18, 4867 University Court, Niagara Falls, charged with procuring alcohol for person younger than 21.

The Niagara County Sheriff’s Patrol was dispatched to Dysinger Road for a report of a loud party. Officers located a group of individuals in Apt. 5, which was crowded with people, beer cans and plastic cups, according to the report.

Several people ran around the corner of the living area into a hallway leading to a bedroom, utility closet and bathroom.

Few of the occupants could produce identification, police said. The patrol questioned each occupant of the living area, and each stated they were 21 years of age, according to the report.

The patrol located several people hiding in clothes closets, the utility closet, the bathroom and behind doors. One occupant attempted to climb out the bedroom window, damaging the screen.

According to the report, Tobias, Bardanis and Sands admitted that they had each supplied a portion of the beer. Not all occupants consumed alcoholic beverages, but some were visibly intoxicated and others had admitted to drinking one or two, the report said.

Tobias, Bardanis and Sands are scheduled to appear in Lockport Town Court.

The beer that was in the apartment was dumped out, and the group was also advised to keep the noise to a minimum while in the apartment building.

People at the party were between 18 and 21 years of age and were from Grand Island, Sanborn, Brockport, Illion, Niagara Falls and East Aurora, police said.
