Lockport Union-Sun & Journal — A 3 a.m. fight that escalated out of control at the Lincoln Place Apartments on Thursday morning resulted in a man being stabbed and another man charged with first-degree assault.
Justin J. Snead, 21, 6557 Lincoln Place was charged by the Niagara County Sheriff’s Department with first-degree assault, a felony, and a misdemeanor fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. He was treated for a minor injury.
The victim, a 29-year-old man, was stabbed in the back and shoulder. He was taken to Erie County Medical Center by City of Lockport Fire Department.
The unidentified victim was listed in fair, but stable condition, according to investigator Pat Whitehill of the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office. According to sheriff’s reports, the fight appears to be alcohol related.
Snead was arraigned in front of Lockport Town Justice Leonard G. Tilney and placed in the Niagara County Jail on $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond.
Sheriff’s deputies were called to the scene at 3 a.m. to investigate a report of two men fighting.
Snead was arraigned in Lockport Town Court at 8 a.m. in front of Justice Leonard G. Tilney Jr. who remanded him to Niagara County Jail on bail of $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond. He is due back in court on July 12.
