Losses by both Niagara-Orleans League boys basketball frontrunners on Tuesday sets the stage for a fantastic finish on Thursday.
Visiting CSAT nipped Wilson, 45-42; while Akron (8-5) edged past visiting Newfane, 48-45.
That sets the stage for Thursday’s regular-season finales as Wilson (10-3 N-O) plays at Royalton-Hartland, while the Panthers (10-3 N-O) host surprising CSAT (9-4 N-O).
A number of scenerios can come out of Friday’s slate of games. If both Wilson and Newfane lose, there will be a three-way tie for first. If either Wilson or Newfane win and the other loses, the winner is the N-O champ out-right.
CSAT 45, Wilson 42
WILSON — Darnell Carson scored 13 and Desmond LaMar 10 to spark CSAT.
Tyler Martin scored 15 and Dustin DiLaura 10 for Wilson.
Akron 48, Newfane 45
AKRON — Austin Miet scored 13, Connor Ladd 12 and Nate Borchert 11 to spark Akron past Newfane.
Scott Kneeland took game high honors with 19 for Newfane.
Akron led 25-19 at the half.
Roy-Hart 72, Barker 64
BARKER — Brad Bobbitt score 23 and Chris Luce 22 to spark Roy-Hart past Barker.
Josh Haight tallied 15 and Jake Haight 13 to lead Barker.
Leading by only two, Roy-Hart got four cluctch ree throws each by Bobbitt and Luce down the stretch to lock up the win. Bobbitt went 13 of 16 from the line on the night and Luce 11 of 14.
The Rams led 32-26 at the half.

Wilson 50, CSAT 24
BUFFALO — Jamie Curry had 21 points, seven steals and five rebounds to lead the visiting Lakewomen (11-2 N-O), setting the stage for Friday’s league championship game against visiting Royalton-Hartland (12-1 N-O), 48-33 winners over visiting Barker on Tuesday.
Courtney Murray had eight points, 10 rebounds, four steals for head coach Brian Baker’s Lakewomen.
Roy-Hart 48, Barker 33
MIDDLEPORT — Jesse DeWaters scored 15, Kristi Harnish 11 and Olivia Kelkenberg 10 to spark the attack for Roy-Hart on Tuesday to clinch at least a tie for the 2011-12 N-O girls hoops championship.
DeWaters netted six quick points in the first period to help head coach Don Baker’s team grab a 14-4 lead. Kelkenberg followed up with eight in the second to help keep the Lady Rams in control at the half by a 27-14 margin.
DeWaters also had nine rebounds and eight assists and Kelkenberg nine rebounds.
Marissa Estep led the Lady Raiders (3-10 N-O) with 12 points.
Akron 45, Newfane 44
NEWFANE — Kierstyn Sturmer scored 17 points and Paige Hill 11 to set the pace for Akron (5-8 N-O).
Jordan Beutel took game high scoring honors with 20 points for the Lady Panthers (4-9 N-O).

Iroquois 53, Starpoint 45
ELMA — Jenna Faulkner scored 14 points to lead the visiting Lady Spartans (8-9, 5-7 ECIC II).
Erica Longwell added a dozen points and Alison Gillet had 10 for the garney and gray.
