MEDINA —
Avenging an earlier-season, home court loss, Barker posted a 64-50 victory over host Medina Thursday in a Niagara-Orleans League boys basketball contest.
Josh Haight poured in 29 points and Jake Haight 22 to spark the attack for Barker (3-7 N-O), which had dropped a nearly identical 60-52 decision to Medina earlier in the season. The brother duo in fact accounted for all of the Raiders 32 first half points as Barker opened up a commanding 16-point advantage.
Lonnie Taylor took game high scoring honors with 30 for Medina which has now lost six games in a row.
Akron 48, Roy-Hart 32
MIDDLEPORT — Leading 17-14, Roy-Hart managed just one point over the final seven-and-a-half minutes of the second quarter as Akron rallied then went on to beat the host Rams.
Connor Ladd scored a game-high 24 points for the Tigers (6-4 N-O), who rallied into leads of 27-18 at the half and 40-25 at the three-quarter mark.
Ryan Metz led the Rams (3-7 N-O) with 12 points.
Newfane 45, Wilson 42
NEWFANE — Reid Weber had two key, back-to-back baskets to put Newfane on top to stay down the stretch as the Panthers knocked the Lakemen (9-1 N-O) out of the N-O’s unbeaten Ranks.
Also for head coach Eric Klumpp’s Panthers (8-2 N-O), Conner Sears had two clutch steals and went 3-for-5 from the freethow line in the final two minutes to preserve the huge win.
Scott Kneeland had 12 points to lead Newfane, which outscored Wilson 14-7 in the deicsive final period to claim the come-from-behind win.
Sean Sefeldt and Scott Geise both added eight points for the Panthers.
Tyler Martin and Patrick Diez each scored 11 points for Wilson, which held leads of 12-8 after one period, 22-16 at the half and 35-31 at the three-quarter mark.
• N-O GIRLS BASKETBALL
Roy-Hart 47, Akron 25
AKRON — Roy-Hart’s Jesse DeWaters scored 11 points in the first quarter, including three threes, sparking head coach Don Baker’s visiting Lady Rams out to a 14-4 lead over Akron and they never looked back.
DeWaters finished with 20 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists, while Olivia Kelkenberg added 12 points and seven rebounds.
Roy-Hart led by margins of 24-8 at the half and 33-15 after three quarters.
Medina 46, Barker 27
BARKER— Albanellys Perez poured in a game-high 21 points to lead Medina (4-5 N-O). Perez also had 14 rebounds, two blocks and three steals and Maggie Balcerzak 13 rebounds, three blocks and three assists.
Mikayla Jackson led head coach Jeff Costello’s Lady Raiders (2-7 N-O) with nine points.

Lockport 6, Lew-Port 1
PENDLETON — Jacob Swartz and David Poole had big nights on the lanes for the Lions in Thursday’s win over visiting Lewiston-Porter.
Swartz rolled a 267-738, while Poole added a 276-650.
The Lions won the pin count, 3,834 to 3,418.
Topping the Lancers (1-11 NFL) was Tyler Roskwitalski with a 253-619.

Lockport 4, Lew-Port 3
PENDLETON — Head coach Marion Singleton’s Lady Lions won the match by winning trhe pin count, 3,142 to 3,130.
Brittany Wright topped the Lady Lions with a 210-569. Ashley Drabcyzk led the Lady Lancers (6-6 NFL) with a 226-583.
