MARIJUANA: Thomas E. Jones, 64, 230 Park Ave. was charged with second-degree possession of marijuana and growing cannabis Wednesday. On Sept. 9, 2011 the police found suspected marijuana growing on the back deck of a Park Avenue residence. Two 5-foot plants were found and confiscated. The plants were taken to the Niagara County Forensic Laboratory for analysis and results confirmed it was 17.28 ounces of marijuana. Jones turned himself in on Wednesday.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: Ethan D. Zwyiczynski, 22, 6728 Akron Road, Apt. 24 was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief Wednesday. On Feb. 8, a witness stated he observed a man storm out of city hall and punch a plastic display case valued at $500. The witness did not wish to cooperate or give a statement. A statement was taken from the city treasurer. Zwyiczynski responded and was arrested on Wednesday.

DWI: Brian C. Lenhart, 24, 15 Bewley, Pkwy. was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated Wednesday. At 2:04 a.m., the sheriff’s patrol observed a 2004 Saturn Vue in the parking lot of 5943 South Transit Road. The driver's door was open and the driver was leaning out of the vehicle vomiting. According to the report, Lenhart had slurred speech and red glassy eyes. He failed field sobriety tests. Lenhart consented to a chemical test of his breath which revealed a blood alcohol content of .20 percent.

AUTO STRIPPING: Thomas Sullivan, 22, Middleport was charged with petit larceny and third-degree auto stripping Wednesday. The owner of Ridge Road Repair discovered four car batteries were removed from vehicles which were parked in the lot. According to the report, security tape showed a white male, operating a light blue of green Pontiac Grand Prix GT, pulled into the lot and attempt to remove the battery but was unable. He came back a short time later with tools and removed that battery and three others. Sullivan was located on Drum Road and taken into custody.
