DWI: Nanci C. Crafts, 53, 6994 Peppertree Court, was charged with driving while intoxicated Thursday night. Officers stopped a vehicle for an alleged traffic violation on East Avenue and said they smelled a strong odor of alcohol on the suspect’s breath. According to the report, Crafts failed several sobriety tests.
Middleport
MARIJUANA: David L. Waterfield and Elizabeth L. Russell, both 20, of 9198 Ridge Road were charged Thursday night with unlawful possession of marijuana. Middleport police stopped a vehicle heading west on Ridge Road for speeding, according to the report. Officers said they smelled a strong odor of marijuana while interviewing the two. Waterfield, the driver, reportedly told police he had smoked half a joint. Russell was in possession of a glass pipe and a small baggie of marijuana, police said. Waterfield’s license was suspended.
LARCENY: Katelynn E. Larkin, 22, 9413 Ridge Road was charged Thursday with petit larceny. A witness told Middleport police that Larkin was caught shoplifting at Middleport Family Health Center.
