Women, 19, face drug charges

Lockport Union-Sun & Journal — Two 19-year-old Lockport women face drug charges after being arrested on Chestnut Street on Wednesday night.

Katlyn P. Ventura, 366 West Ave was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana and public lewdness. Hannah J. Crawford, 477 Hawley St. was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana.

The police responded to Chestnut Street for the report of suspicious persons in a parked car. According to the report, white powder came out of the driver's window. Ventura gave the police a rolled up $5 bill with an off-white paper and a hydrocodone pill. The police found a glass jar with marijuana in the center console.

A witness called the police when Ventura reportedly came out of the vehicle and urinated in the parking lot.

Both women were released with a Monday court date.
