Lockport Union-Sun & Journal — Two men from Wilson and a woman from Youngstown were arrested late Sunday after they allegedly started a fight with a couple that was hosting an outdoor gathering at their Wilson home.
Keith E. Blose, 28, 112 Dorwood Park and Jonathan A. Evans, 27, 871 B St., both of Wilson and Debra M. Wise, 32, 3309 Creek Road, Youngstown face a combination of menacing, harassment and assault charges.
According to Niagara County Sheriffs reports, deputies were sent to 857 B St. to investigate a fight involving a gun. Upon arrival, they saw the suspects entering 871 B St. Deputies surrounded the residence and contacted the suspects, who turned themselves over to the deputies without incident.
The victims, a husband and wife, said they were jumped by the trio, who arrived uninvited.
The husband told deputies his daughter went out for a walk and didn't come home, so he called her and she then came home. Shortly after, Blose, Wise and Evans all arrived. The husband said his wife told the three that she did not wish to have her daughter hanging out late with older people.
According to the report, Wise took offense to that comment, and began fighting the wife. When the husband tried to stop the fight, he was confronted by Blose, who "grabbed a baseball bat and swung it" at the husband, who was able to grab the bat and use it in self defense.
The husband alleges that Blose then stated "you're dead ... I'm gonna kill you" and pulled a black handgun out of his waistband. The husband said he could also see his wife being attacked by Wise in the yard and that his wife was being held down by Evans.
He ran into the house to call 911 and his wife soon came into the residence with blood all over her face. The suspects took off towards their residence on B Street.
Patrol interviewed the wife, who stated that when her daughter came home late she was upset and confronted the subjects she was hanging out with in the yard. When she told Wise that she did not want her daughter hanging out late with older people, Wise pushed her and a fight started in the yard.
After being pushed to the ground, the wife said Wise punched her while Evans kicked her in the mouth. She eventually broke free and ran into the house where her husband was calling 911. The wife told deputies that she had a tooth knocked out during the fight.
The husband did not suffer any injuries, but patrol had EMS respond to evaluate the wife's injuries. She signed off medical treatment but appeared to have lost a tooth.
Deputies searched the area but were unable to locate the handgun or baseball bat that was used in the incident.
Blose was taken into custody for third degree menacing, a misdemeanor, and harassment in the second degree, a violation.
Wise and Evans were both charged with one misdemeanor count of assault in the third degree.
They were all remanded to the Niagara County Jail. Bail for Blose was set at $1,000; bail for Wise and Evans was set at $500 each. They are all due back in Wilson Town Court at 7 p.m. July 26.
