City of Lockport
DWI: Robert B. Wojewoda III, 29, 270 State St., was charged Saturday with driving while intoxicated, unsafe lane change, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, speeding, unregistered motor vehicle and no insurance. Officers responded to West High Street for a report of a vehicle hitting a traffic pole at 5:20 a.m. The driver reportedly had red, bloodshot eyes and the odor of alcohol was present. Police said Wojewoda failed field sobriety tests. The vehicle had switched license plates and was not insured, according to the report.
Town of Niagara
DWI: David A. Cleveley, 40, 5962 Miller Road, Niagara Falls, was charged Saturday with aggravated driving while intoxicated and passing a red light. At 3 a.m., officers saw Cleveley travel southbound on Military Road and turn east against a red light onto Porter/Packard Road, according to the report. Police said Cleveley failed field sobriety tests and registered a 0.18 percent blood alcohol content.

DWI: Michael P. Teaven, 50, 6260 Autumnview St., was charged Friday with driving while intoxicated. According to the report, Teaven was observed parked in the closed drive-through at McDonald’s at 11:55 p.m.. He was passed out behind the wheel, with keys in the ignition and the motor running, according to the report. The patrol noticed the odor of an alcohol beverage, slurred speech and impaired coordination. He failed five field sobriety tests on the scene and had a positive breath screen for alcohol, police said.
PETIT LARCENY: A Fuller Road man reported that a Toshiba laptop valued at $593.99 was missing from his vehicle. He was not sure when or where the theft occurred, but believed it happened when he was at college in Buffalo. He found his car unlocked with some items inside moved around. He said the computer could have been taken while he was parked at his residence or while he was at a friend’s house in Lockport.

ASSAULT: A victim told police she was assaulted by another woman at 5 a.m. Saturday in the 400 block of 10th Street. The victim said the suspect was trying to have sex with a male in a truck. The victim told the male the suspect has herpes. The male refused to have sex with the suspect and left the area. The suspect then assaulted the woman, who sustained a bloody, swollen lip and was sporting a bald spot because a large chunk of her hair was ripped out.
