POLICE BLOTTER: Reports published Jan. 5
City of Lockport
HARASSMENT: William S. Johnson, 31, 132 S. Transit St., was charged with second-degree harassment Monday. Patrol responded to the suspect’s residence for a domestic incident between William and a female victim. Upon arrival, the suspect was gone. A police report said the victim told police that a verbal argument turned physical when Williams allegedly dragged the victim across the room and threw her on the bed. Police said the victim told them the suspect then held his hands over her mouth so she could not breathe. A police report said Williams turned himself in.
ASSAULT: Clifford A. Davis, 48, 164 Church St., was charged with third-degree assault Monday. Patrol responded to the suspect’s residence for a domestic incident. Upon arrival, patrol observed the victim bleeding heavily from the mouth and reported that the victim told police Davis punched her in the face for being in the bathroom for too long.

BURGLARY: On Sunday, a Minard Drive man reportedly contacted the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office to report an alleged burglary . According to the report, the homeowner told deputies that when he came back home, he noticed the back door of his house open. Deputies reported that they observed two small marks on the door jam. There are reportedly no known suspects.

Witness’ credibility questioned in Greco murder case
The defense attorney in the case against Anthony J. Allen — accused of murdering a group counselor on East Avenue last year — has until Aug. 23 to prove the prosecution’s expert witness is not a credible source.

Five indicted in casino fraud case
A federal grand jury has indicted five people on bank fraud-related charges involving thefts from casino-based ATMs, including some at Seneca Nation operations in Niagara Falls and elsewhere.
Charged in the four-count indictment are Jia Ming Huang, Rungen Huang, Zhen Qiang Liang, Chang Keng Zheng aka Yu Zheng and Siu S. Cheng. All the defendants live in either New York or Florida. - Police blotter published July 27, 2010

2 burglaries reported at Royalton Airport
Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a report of an alleged burglary and attempted burglary at the Royalton Airport on Mackey Road on Sunday and Monday.
