BLOTTER: Police reports published Dec. 19
City of Lockport
• CHARGED: Amanda L. Mottorn, 18, 88 Erie St., Apt. upper was charged with second-degree criminal contempt Friday. A police report said a subpoena was served directing Mottorn to be in Lockport City Court on Dec. 14, but she failed not appear.
• CHARGED: Sarah A. Buttorff, 34, 6118 Ruhlman Road, Apt. 6 was charged Thursday with second-degree criminal contempt. According to the report, police were notified by the district attorney’s office that the suspect failed to appear at Lockport City Court as a witness. The suspect was reportedly served a subpoena by officers, then arrested at her residence.

• LARCENY: Niagara County sheriff’s deputies were called Thursday to Caps Automotive for a larceny complaint. A man told deputies that he was working late when he noticed a suspicious vehicle pull up in front of his building and an unknown white male got out of the truck. The larceny victim reportedly confronted the man, and the suspect got back in the vehicle and left. After a few days, the victim reportedly noticed he was missing a Meyer Plow pump from a 1974 Ford Pinto. He also said someone allegedly ripped out a Pioneer CD player from another vehicle in the lot. The loss was estimated at $400.

• LARCENY: A Hess Road, Appleton, man told deputies that sometime overnight, someone stole an inflatable snowman from the front yard of his residence.

Witness’ credibility questioned in Greco murder case
The defense attorney in the case against Anthony J. Allen — accused of murdering a group counselor on East Avenue last year — has until Aug. 23 to prove the prosecution’s expert witness is not a credible source.

Five indicted in casino fraud case
A federal grand jury has indicted five people on bank fraud-related charges involving thefts from casino-based ATMs, including some at Seneca Nation operations in Niagara Falls and elsewhere.
Charged in the four-count indictment are Jia Ming Huang, Rungen Huang, Zhen Qiang Liang, Chang Keng Zheng aka Yu Zheng and Siu S. Cheng. All the defendants live in either New York or Florida. - Police blotter published July 27, 2010

2 burglaries reported at Royalton Airport
Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a report of an alleged burglary and attempted burglary at the Royalton Airport on Mackey Road on Sunday and Monday.
