BLOTTER: Police reports published Dec. 11
City of Lockport
• CONTEMPT: Ryan R. Person, 20, 6558 Lincoln Ave., Apt. L, was charged Thursday with second-degree criminal contempt. The victim told police that while Person was at the victim’s house, he found a number in the victim’s cell phone and became upset. Person reportedly grabbed the victim around the throat and threw the victim on the bed. A police report said the victim already had an order of protection out against the suspect.
• HARASSMENT: Anthony E. Luke, 41, 178 Green St., Apt. 2 was charged with second-degree harassment Thursday. Officers said Luke told them he wanted two people removed from his home. Police told him that because the two people were guests of the other resident of the apartment, officers could not make them leave. The suspect got angry at their answer and became aggressive toward police, according to the report.
Town of Lockport
• FUGITIVE: Daniel Z. Taylor, 22, Strauss Road, was arrested for being a fugitive from West Virginia, according to a New York State Police report. During a traffic stop for an alleged seat-belt violation, officers determined there was outstanding warrant against Taylor from Harrison County, W.Va., for possession of marijuana. Taylor was transported to the Niagara County Jail.
Newfane
• DWI: Joseph D. Crosby, 22, of Appleton, was charged with driving while intoxicated after state police in Lockport responded to a motor vehicle accident Tuesday. Crosby had a 0.11 percent blood alcohol content, according to the report. He was arraigned in Newfane Town Court and remanded to the Niagara County Jail in lieu of $1,000 bail. Crosby is due back in court Dec. 22.

Witness’ credibility questioned in Greco murder case
The defense attorney in the case against Anthony J. Allen — accused of murdering a group counselor on East Avenue last year — has until Aug. 23 to prove the prosecution’s expert witness is not a credible source.

Five indicted in casino fraud case
A federal grand jury has indicted five people on bank fraud-related charges involving thefts from casino-based ATMs, including some at Seneca Nation operations in Niagara Falls and elsewhere.
Charged in the four-count indictment are Jia Ming Huang, Rungen Huang, Zhen Qiang Liang, Chang Keng Zheng aka Yu Zheng and Siu S. Cheng. All the defendants live in either New York or Florida. - Police blotter published July 27, 2010

2 burglaries reported at Royalton Airport
Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a report of an alleged burglary and attempted burglary at the Royalton Airport on Mackey Road on Sunday and Monday.
