• PETIT LARCENY: A Lockport-Olcott Road man told police Thursday that between 3 p.m. Wednesday and 5 p.m. Thursday, someone took two long guns from the residence. The report said the guns were an SGS .22-caliber assault rifle, valued at $600, and a Winchester 300 shotgun, valued at $350. The victim said the guns were normally stored at a relative’s house, but were brought to his home to clean them and were stored in a downstairs bedroom. Police also spoke to the victim’s mother, who said while she was showering at about 3:45 p.m. Wednesday she heard someone in the house. Thinking it was the her son, the mother called out his name, but there was no answer. The report said the house was unlocked at the time.

Registered sex offender accused of assaulting child
A registered sex offender living in the Town of Lockport has been accused of assault and endangering the welfare of a child, state police said Monday.

CITY OF LOCKPORT: Man sought after fleeing accident
Lockport Police said Monday they are looking for a man who fled the scene of a one-vehicle accident 3:15 a.m. Friday after losing control of the vehicle on Walnut Street, striking a utility pole and breaking it in half.
