• ASSAULT: Peter C. Ackroyd, 60, 288 Washburn St., Apt. 2A, Lockport was charged with third-degree assault and impersonation. Patrol responded to Ackroyd’s apartment complex for a report of an alleged fight. Upon patrol’s arrival, the victim reportedly told them that the suspect came out of his apartment and while they were in the hallway, the suspect pushed her for no reason down a flight of stairs. The victim’s boyfriend apparently attempted to get the suspect back into the apartment before any more harm was done. The defendant then tried to push the victim’s boyfriend, missed him and fell down the stairs, police said. The Lockport Fire Department was called to assist. Officers said the suspect gave them a false name before the arrest.
