• DWI: Gerardo Quiros, 23, 11318 Ridge Road, Medina, was charged with first-degree driving while intoxicated, drinking alcohol in a motor vehicle on a highway and inadequate plate lamps. On Wednesday, patrol reportedly observed a vehicle with no license plate lamps and immediately initiated a traffic stop on Robinson Road. Upon interviewing the driver, officers said he appeared to be intoxicated. Police said they saw a half bottle of Bud Light beer in the vehicle. The suspect reportedly failed all sobriety tests administered. He was taken to the Niagara County Jail, where he was held in lieu of $250 bail. Upon further investigation, deputies from the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office found that Quiros was wanted by Amherst Police on a bench warrant for disorderly conduct.
• HARASSMENT: A Lake Avenue man called police to report alleged harassment. The man told police he was going to meet an acquaintance at a coffee shop in Wrights Corners to purchase hydrocodone pills. The victim allegedly went to give the acquaintance $40 for the pills, but instead, the seller reportedly punched the victim in the face and tried to grab the money without handing over the pills. There were no arrests.
