City of Lockport
• ASSAULT: Levon D. Smith, 117 Genesee St., Apt. lower, was charged Thursday with third-degree assault and endangering the welfare of a child. A police report said patrol responded to a South Transit Road, Town of Lockport restaurant for a report of assault. Upon arrival, police interviewed the victim who reportedly said Smith punched her in the face, then grabbed her by the hair and pulled her to the ground. The alleged assault happened in front of the victim’s 5- and 6-year-old relatives.
• SEXUAL ABUSE: Ritchard P. Baldwin, 19, 106 Manilla Place, Medina, was charged Wednesday with first-degree sexual abuse after allegedly having sex with a juvenile.
Olcott
• PETIT LARCENY: Nicholas A. Pleace, 23, of 2622 Pratt Road, Batavia, was charged Wednesday with petit larceny on an outstanding warrant. Pleace was taken into custody after a car in which he was a passenger was stopped on Lockport-Olcott Road for an alleged traffic infraction.
