BLOTTER: Police reports published Oct. 27


City of Lockport

MARIJUANA: Bradley A. Lilley, 20, 6763 Minnick Road, Apt. 2, was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana Sunday. Patrol reportedly observed a brown Plymouth with unreadable plates traveling south on North Transit Street and pulled the vehicle over for the violation. Upon interviewing the driver, officers said they observed a bag with what appeared to be BBs in it. Police asked Lilley if he had any weapons or drugs with him, and he reportedly admitted to having only a BB gun. Upon a search, officers reportedly found several small bags of marijuana in Lilley’s possession.

Town of Lockport

ASSAULT: Rodney Jay McKeown, 48, 5454 Upper Mountain Road, was charged with third-degree assault and second-degree menacing. On Saturday, police were dispatched to Upper Mountain Road for a complaint from a woman who said she was fearful of McKeown when he was intoxicated. Deputies said the suspect was arguing with another man and refused to cooperate with them. Deputies said McKeown was acting belligerent and unstable. The suspect was taken to the Niagara County Jail in lieu of $500 bail.

Town of Olcott

SHOOTING: On Sunday, an unknown person allegedly shot at two residences on Lockport-Olcott Road in Lockport and Burt. Both residents told deputies that hunters in the creek discharged their firearms towards their homes. According to a police report, birdshot hit both residences and one of the victims, but did not cause any serious damage. The injured victim declined medical attention. Both complainants said this is an ongoing issue. Patrol searched the area for hunters, with negative results.
