BLOTTER: Police reports published Oct. 17


City of Lockport

• CHARGED: Hollie L. Kureczka, 22, 9 Beverly Ave., was arrested on the charges of resisting arrest on Friday when she reportedly attempted to push her way from the police after being asked to turn down the music in her apartment. Patrol responded to a call on Beverly Avenue about a second complaint of loud music. Police went to Kureczka’s residence and warned her the first time to lower her music or she would be cited for a noise violation.

Wheatfield

• MARIJUANA: Michael C. DeRose, 20, of North Tonawanda was charged Friday with unlawful possession of marijuana. When police pulled DeRose over for allegedly failing to stop at a stop sign, they detected an odor of marijuana from inside the vehicle, according to the report. The suspect initially said he had no drugs inside the vehicle, but upon search, police reportedly found six plastic bags of marijuana in DeRose’s pants. The report said the suspect was arrested without incident.

• GRAND LARCENY: A Wheatfield man reported Friday that his 2006 Toyota Scion valued at $12,000 was stolen from his Townline Road home by an unknown suspect. The man said he discovered the car was gone when he returned home from work.
