BLOTTER: Police reports published Oct. 1

City of Lockport

• HARASSMENT: John L. Dorth, 48, 118 Cottage St., was arrested on a warrant Wednesday on a second-degree harassment charge.

• PETIT LARCENY: Katelynn A. Coleman, 21, 282 South Transit St. was charged Wednesday with petit larceny. Police responded to a call from the assistant manager of the Rite Aid at 125 S. Transit St. The assistant manager told police she saw Coleman put items in her vest and purse. The employee said Coleman continued to walk out of the store after she confronted her. Stolen items included $129.68 worth of beauty supplies, according to the report.

• CRIMINAL CONTEMPT: Anthony J. Bennett, Jr., 24, 6489 Dysinger Road Apt. 3, was charged Wednesday with criminal contempt. Bennett was arraigned on domestic violence charges on a case Tuesday for a full, stay-away order of protection by Lockport City Court Judge William Watson that prohibited Bennett from having contact with the victim. Following his arraignment Wednesday, Bennett was given one phone call at the Lockport Police Department to obtain bail. The number he called and the person he spoke with was the victim whom he was forbidden to contact, the report said. The reporting officer immediately terminated the phone call, because of a violation of the order of protection, police said.
