BLOTTER: Police reports published Sept. 30


City of Lockport

• ASSAULT: Anthony J. Bennett, Jr., 24, 6489 Dysinger Road, Apt. 3, was charged Tuesday with assault, endangering the welfare of a child, criminal mischief and petit larceny. Patrol responded to a report of a domestic incident. The victim said Bennett slapped her, pushed her to the ground then took her phone and cut her clothes.

• DWI: Derrick D. Powell, 25, 34 Harvey Ave., was charged Tuesday with driving while intoxicated. Officers said they stopped Powell for a traffic violation and observed signs of intoxication. Powell failed several field sobriety tests, according to the report.

• MARIJUANA: Joshua M. Re, 26, 173 Pine Street, Apt. 4, was accused of unlawful possession of marijuana. Members of the Niagara County Drug Task Force executed a search warrant. While searching the residence, five marijuana plants and a small quantity of marijuana was seized, according to the report.

• POSSESSION: Nathaniel D. Smith, 24, 198 Lock Street, was charged with criminal possession of hypodermic needles. Smith’s vehicle was stopped after a civil complaint that it may have been involved in a drug transaction. The suspect consented to a “pat down” and was found to have two hypodermic needles, according to police.

• RECKLESS DRIVING: Gregory L. Weber, 18, 341 Ontario St. was charged Tuesday with reckless endangerment and reckless driving. Patrol responded to Maple and Willow streets for a report of a reckless driver. Witnesses told police Weber was seen fishtailing, causing him to drive onto lawns.
