MARIJUANA: Reginald E. Tucker, 48, 6584 Dysinger Road and Paul D. Atkin Jr., 24, 779 Hawley St. were charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. The patrol received information of a suspicious vehicle Friday on North Transit. There was an odor of marijuana. Marijuana was found between the passenger seat and the console and in their pants' pockets.

CONTEMPT: David D. Griffin, 40, 22 Washburn St., side was charged with first-degree criminal contempt and second degree harassment Sunday. According to the report, Griffin and the victim were in an argument on Saturday. Griffin threw the contents of his beer bottle on the wall and ceiling. He then threw the bottle at the victim, striking her. He took the cat, but the victim was able to retrieve the cat. The victim, who has a limited order of protection, requested a full order of protection. On Sunday, Griffin allegedly broke into the her residence and police found him sitting on the couch. He fled into the bathroom and was apprehended. He appeared intoxicated and refused to cooperate during the booking process.

Town of Lockport

DWI: Kelly A. Duffy, 42, 6306 Heritage Point was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving on the shoulders of the road and driving too slow, impeding traffic Saturday. The sheriff's patrol responded to Lockport Road and Comstock road for a report of a reckless driver called in by another motorist at 3:14 a.m. According to the report, Duffy was traveling 35 mph in a 55 mph zone and drove across the fog line then back onto the road. Patrol stopped said vehicle on Lockport Road just west of Bear Ridge road. Duffy said she was heading home from the casino. There was odor of alcohol. Duffy's eyes were glassy and her speech was slurred. She failed field sobriety tests and recorded .15 percent blood alcohol content.

 

Town of Lockport

CHARGED: Emily R. Simcox, 23, 195 Charter Oaks, Amherst was charged with second-degree obstruction of governmental administration Saturday. The sheriff's patrol responded to Royal Parkway North for an unwanted party. According to the report, Simcox ran into the woods and was apprehended after a brief foot pursuit. Simcox also had two bench warrants out of the Town of Lockport for aggravated unlicensed operation and was transported to the Niagara County Jail and held on $500 police bail.

DWI: Joshua St. Placta, 30, 484 High St. Lockport was charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated unlicensed operation, operating a motor vehicle by an unlicensed driver, reckless driving, speeding and moving from lane unsafely Saturday. The sheriff's patrol observed a vehicle was going south bound on Sunset Drive when the driver attempted to turn onto Twilight Lane at 9 p.m. The vehicle was going too fast and lost control, almost striking the stop sign and road sign. Patrol was flagged down by two witness who said Placta almost struck them and their children as he drove by. The vehicle was located on Twilight Lane. According to the report. there was an odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from the breath of Placta. He had slurred speech, glossy bloodshot eyes and impaired motor coordination. He failed field sobriety tests and gave a positive reading for the presence of alcohol. He had a blood alcohol content of .19 percent.

WARRANT: Christopher Bitsas, 63, 2767 South Main St. was arrested on a warrant out of the Town of Niagara after the sheriff's patrol responded to an harassment incident at 7:29 a.m. on Saturday. All parties involved  said that they did not want to pursue charges, but Bitasa was found to have a warrant and was taken into custody without incident.

Cambria

HARASSMENT: Anjanette Cox, 38, 5805 Unicorn Drive, Sanborn was charged with second-degree burglary and second-degree harassment, physical contact Saturday. According to the report, Cox forced her way into the victim's apartment and verbally threatened her on Friday. The victim is eight months pregnant. A warrant was served on Cox at the Niagara County Jail due to her previous incarceration. Bail was set at $5,000 and a full stay away order of protection was issued. Porter

DWI: Kathi Ann Jakubowski, 50, 999 Balmer Road, Youngstown was charged with driving while intoxicated, faillure to keep right and driving on the shoulders of the road Saturday. The sheriff's patrol observed a vehicle turn off from Lake Road onto Cothran Road, cross the and almost leave the roadway while turning onto Cothran Road. The vehicle cross the center line and fog line multiple times on Cothran Road.  According to the report, there was smell the odor of an alcoholic beverage and Jakubowski had impaired motor coordination. She had slurred speech and glossy bloodshot eyes. She failed field sobriety test and gave a positive reading on an alcosensor.  She had a blood alcohol content of .09 percent.

DWI: Jason T. Zimmerman, 22, 1443 Ridge Road, Lewiston was charged with drinking alcohol in a motor vehicle on the highway, driving while intoxicated and failure to keep right Sunday. At 2:16 a.m. the patrol observed a vehicle on a double yellow line as the vehicle was making a right turn. According to the report, Zimmerman was stopped on Main Street. He had the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage, glassy eyes, slurred speech and an open beer bottle halfway consumed in the center console. He failed feld sobriety tests. A breath test showed a .10 percent blood alcohol content.

Middleport

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: Six tires were reported slashed on Peet Street causing over $1,000 damange sometime between 10:30 p.m. on Sunday and 10:30 a.m. on Monday. An unknown person slashed three tires on a 2004 Chevy Trailblazer causing $500 to $600 damage. Two tires on a 1997 Ford Explorer and one tire of a 1996 GMC pickup truck were slashed at another residence. The value of the three tires were about $600.
