City of Lockport

CHARGED: Melvin U. Darrell, 33, 19 Allen St., Apt. 2 was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana Tuesday. According to the report, the police were executing a warrant on Aug. 22 and found marijuana at the Allen Street address. There were no arrests made. Darrell turned himself into police headquarters at 1:32 p.m. Tuesday

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: Stephen G. Augle, 22, 216 West Ave. rear was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief Tuesday. Police responded to a domestic incident on Monday. According to the report, Augle got agitated with a message on his girlfriend's phone and threw things around the apartment. He also threw her cell phone on the ground. 

DWI: Dustin K. Peace, 23, 9088 Chestnut St., Middleport was charged with driving while intoxicated, unsafe lane change and improper lane use Saturday. The police responded to an accident on Main Street. According to the report, Peace was involved in an vehicle accident and damaged the rear end of a pickup. Peace had bloodshot eyes and appeared intoxicated. He was asked to perform sobriety tests and was arrested.

HARASSMENT: Frederick J. Baldwin, 27, 32 John St. was charged with second-degree harassment Friday. The police responded to a domestic incident and found the victim outside the residence crying. She had visible marks on her neck and was bleeding. According to the report, Baldin became agitated because the victim was playing with her unleashed dogs. She said she was going to leave the house and Baldwin took her laptop computer and threw it. He pinned the victim against the wall and punched her, causing her to see stars. The victim requested an order of protection and Baldwin was arrested without incident.

CHARGED: Ashley Lynn Hirsch, 26, 91 Prospect St. Apt. 2 was  charged with attempted unlawful possession marijuana. According to the report, Hirsch was stopped for talking on a cell phone while driving. The police could smell the odor of majijuana burning. They searched the vehicle and found a half-burnt cigar containing marijuana.

Gasport

BURGLARY:  A homeowner on Slatyton Settlement Road reported $1,700 in property was taken for the home on Monday. at 6 p.m. the sheriff's patrol was dispatched for a burglary complaint. According to the report, when the family got home around 5 p.m. they noticed a Dell Laptop, Kodak digital camera, Microsoft X-Box; a Minolta 35mm camera Sony Playstation  were missing. The laptop was from the University at Buffalo. The victims will see if the university can track the computer. 

Newfane

POSSESSION: Anthony Joseph Zarrillo, 21, 9399 Hartland Road, Barker was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation, seventh degree possession of a controlled substance and suspended registration. Zarrillo was stopped on Lockport-Olcott Road for a suspended registration. According to the report, Zarillo admitted that there was Adderall inside his center console and he did not have a prescription for it. 

Town of Lockport

BURGLARY: An East High Street resident report $4,000 in cash and some prescription medicines were stolen from her home on Monday between 8:25 a.m. and 10:15 a.m. When she returned home she could not find her dog and eventually located it down the road. Her  sentry lock box was open  and the contents emptied onto the bed. Approximately $4,000 in cash was missing, but\, a gold and diamond ring and other things were still there. Two  bottles of prescription pills were also missing from her dresser. There were no signs of forced entry. Neighbors saw a small black SUV parked in front of the house a white Ford Escape parked on the south side of the road.
