BLOTTER: Police reports published March 11


City of Lockport

MARIJUANA: Owen L. Brown, 23, 108 Sycamore St., Apt. 2, Buffalo, was charged Wednesday with fourth-degree possession of marijuana and endangering the welfare of a child. Police reportedly smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from the Chapel Street residence where officers were dispatched. A report said when police entered the home with verbal consent, they saw baggies of marijuana and cocaine, and a scale in plain sight. Brown reportedly admitted it was his. Upon further search of the home, officers also reportedly found a loaded shotgun under the couch where two young children were sitting and $2,179, which was seized.

CHARGED: Ruben Colon Jr., 34, 6 Bewley Parkway, was charged Tuesday with first-degree criminal contempt. A third party reportedly contacted Lockport Police to report the suspect was involved in a domestic violence incident with the victim despite having an order of protection against Colon.

CHARGED: Two Lockport men were charged with obstruction of governmental administration Tuesday. Brien T. Anderson and Timothy D. Harvey, both 22, of 6137 Strauss Road, were found to be drunken and disorderly by police after a victim reported the men to police, according to a report. The report also said when officers asked the men to leave the victim’s apartment, they became aggressive toward officials. Both were secured in handcuffs and sent to LPD for booking.

FRAUD: An Upper Mountain Road resident told deputies Tuesday night that someone tried to buy two cell phones in her name. A report said the suspect had the victim’s Social Security number and also opened a credit card in the victim’s name. The Niagara County Sheriff’s Office is continuing an investigation.
