DRUGS: Angela M. Newton, 24, 730 Church St., Medina, was charged Tuesday with unlawful possession of marijuana. A report said deputies stopped a vehicle on Carmen Road for a traffic violation and improper registration. Niagara County sheriff’s deputies reportedly noticed the passenger, Newton, to be in possession of marijuana. Middleport Police assisted at the scene. Newton is due March 23 in Hartland Town Court.

LARCENY: A Shawnee Road resident told deputies Monday that while she was at work, a $367 vehicle cover was stolen from her truck while it was parked at Niagara County Community College.
LARCENY: A Lockport resident told deputies Monday her backpack with $650 worth of items was stolen at NCCC. A report said the victim left her backpack with a friend, and when she went to pick it up, the backpack and her friend were gone. The missing items included a laptop, digital camera and an iPod.
