City of Lockport
SEVERAL CHARGES: Three teens were charged Friday with disorderly conduct and obstruction of governmental administration after Lockport Police found them throwing snowballs at vehicles on Davison Road. Jared G. Scheeler, 16, and Jesse G. Scheeler, 17, both of 6851 Akron Road; and Shae C. Rekito, 16, 134 Hyde Park, reportedly fled from police after they were told to stop. Jared Scheeler was additionally charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief while he was in a jail cell Friday, because he scratched the numbers 4, 2 and 0 on the cell walls, police reported.
HARASSMENT: John F. Bilka, 36, 146 Jackson St., was charged Thursday with second-degree harassment, and third-degree assault and menacing. A woman told Lockport police that Bilka threw her in a van and forced her into his apartment against her will. When she was released from Bilka’s home, the suspect reportedly came at her in a “threatening manner,” threw her to the ground and grabbed her throat, according to the police report.

LARCENY: A victim reportedly told deputies Thursday that her iPod and GPS were stolen from her vehicle while she was working at Tops on South Transit Road. The items were valued at $400.
LARCENY: A man told Niagara County sheriff’s deputies that he left his Mongoose bicycle outside Hollywood Video on South Transit Road, and when he came out of the store, the bike, valued at $150, was gone.
LARCENY:A resident of Lincoln Place Apartments told police a Blackberry valued at $174 that she bought on eBay was delivered by her mail carrier, then was stolen from outside her door.

MARIJUANA: Robert Charles Jukubec II, 24, 867 Swann Road, Youngstown, was charged Thursday night with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and unlawful possession of marijuana. Deputies made a traffic stop on Upper Mountain Road for a reckless driver complaint. Jukubec reportedly told deputies his license was revoked, but said there was nothing illegal in his vehicle. Deputies and a canine searched the vehicle and reportedly found about 25 grams of marijuana. Jukubec was taken to the Niagara County Jail, where he was held in lieu of $100 bail. He is due March 10 in Lewiston Town Court.

BURGLARY: An Akron Road resident told deputies someone broke into his home while he was out. He said when he came home, he noticed the sliding glass door shattered and an estimated $600 worth of coins in a jar were missing, according to deputies. Deputies contacted Tops on South Transit Road, and the manager told deputies that one transaction was made at the Coinstar machine for $417.19. There are no known suspects at this time, but officials said they will review surveillance cameras at Tops.

Teens accused of harassing Carlton mosque
Members of the World Sufi Foundation Mosque have experienced harassment in the past, but nothing like what happened earlier this week. The disruption resulted in the arrest of five teens — one of whom is facing criminal charges for allegedly firing a weapon.
