Lockport Union-Sun & Journal — Additional charges have been made against a pair of teens who allegedly committing multiple thefts from vehicles in the Ontario Street area Saturday morning.
Dylan L. Roberts, 18, 2500 Parker Road, Ransomville and Corey W. Haseley, 18, 117 Ontario Street were charged late Saturday with petit larceny, fourth-degree criminal mischief, third-degree auto stripping, fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and charged Sunday with attempted petit larceny as the result of two other complaints from city residents.
Roberts and Haseley had earlier been charged with petit larceny, criminal mischief and criminal possession of stolen property Saturday afternoon, but police said additional charges were likely due to the property taken from the men at the time of their initial arrest.
Police responded to a report of two males attempting to break into vehicles Saturday, and observed two males walking east on Grand Street and a white mini-van following them. The driver, the victim of the attempted larceny, told police that she saw Roberts pulling on the door handle of her vehicle from a window of her Caledonia Street home while Haseley stood nearby the vehicle.
She opened her door and yelled at them and they walked away. She called the police and followed the men until police arrived.
The larceny, mischief, auto stripping and possession of stolen property charges stem from a complain made by an Ontario Street resident who found that a CD Player and an mp3 player had been taken from his unlocked vehicle Saturday morning.
Police located a large amount of blood inside the vehicle, which the victim said was not his. Both Roberts and Haseley were treated for lacerations Saturday and blood was found in another vehicle that had been broken into Saturday.
Roberts and Haseley will appear for the more recent charges, and those made earlier, today in City Court.
